The following conversation took place in our house tonight:

MMM Jr. (slowly): “What’s an ap-pren-tice?”

Mrs. MMM: “Oh, that’s like a padawan.”

At that age, it’s probably easier to say “padawan.” George Lucas, on occasion, knows what he’s doing.
