Theories:
1. The coach of the winning team used to coach basketball.
2. The losing team kind of let that happen out of their own curiosity/bemusement.
All in all, it’s a little too weird to feel like a genuine game moment. The winning team was going to lose only if someone dropped a toss, or if any of the 2,056 passes were ruled not to be a lateral.
