Certainly the longest piece on Scripture and homosexuality that I’ve ever read. Watching the video would take even longer. So it’s not an easy read, but it is nothing if not comprehensive.
The summary: No matter how literally you want to take the Bible (and in my case, it’s not particularly literal at all), you cannot construct a condemnation of loving same-sex relationships.
(The bad news for a lot of us straight people: Lust and promiscuity as a whole don’t fare too well in his analysis. So maybe we should be removing the logs in our eyes and so forth …)
